Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in performances and drama activities. We also have small group and individual music lessons with our tutors from the Newcastle Music Conservatory. These experiences foster a rich and diverse musical education, allowing students to share their talents and grow as musicians.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Interest-based clubs
We offer a wide range of interest-based activities where students can explore their hobbies and try new things. These experiences help students grow, build confidence and new skills and make new friends. The clubs we offer include School Newspaper 'The Tighes Times', Lego Club, Creative Club, Creative Writing Club and Debate Club.
Inter-school sport representative competitions
School sport competitions give students a chance to be active, work together, and develop important skills like teamwork and sportsmanship. Taking part in these events helps build confidence, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and creates opportunities to celebrate effort and achievement.
